1. Don’t be a jerk
Debate is encouraged. Being hostile is not.
Disagree with takes, not people. “Your brew is bad” ❌
“Your extraction might be off because…” ✅
2. Coffee > Ego
Nobody cares how expensive your grinder is if your attitude tastes worse than burnt coffee.
Share knowledge, don’t flex it.
3. No low-effort spam
We love memes and shitposts—but make them funny or interesting.
“Is this coffee?” with a blurry photo of mud = no.
4. Use clear titles
Help people help you.
Bad: “Help pls”
Good: “Why is my V60 bitter at 2:30 brew time?”
5. Stay on topic(ish)
Coffee is the focus: brewing, beans, gear, cafés, etc.
A little chaos is fine. Total derailment is not.
6. No misinformation
If you’re giving advice, try to base it on reality.
“Boiling water extracts faster” is fine.
“Microwaving beans improves flavor” is a crime.
7. Respect all brew methods
Yes, even French press. Especially AeroPress.
Coffee snobbery is allowed. Coffee elitism is not.
8. Keep it safe for work
No explicit content, illegal activity, or anything that would get someone fired if opened at a café.
9. No self-promo spam
If you’re a roaster, café, or content creator—engage with the community first.
Drive-by promotion = removed.
10. Mods have final say
We try to be fair, not perfect. If something gets removed, there’s probably a reason.
If not, message us like a normal human.
☕ Final note:
Good coffee takes patience. So does a good community.
Be curious, be helpful, and don’t rinse your filter with cold water.
Now go brew something.
